Mrs Claire Carroll is an actress with a husband serving in the Royal Navy and currently deployed on operations in Afghanistan. She has initiated a project designed to highlight the effects of such deployment upon family members and is inviting contribution in any number of ways. Annual Conference 2010
The Women’s Sections 88th Annual Conference was held in The Winter Gardens, Blackpool on 21st and 22nd April 2010.
This year, the attendance was:
48 County Delegates, 183 Branch Delegates, 21 Branch Standard Bearers (Acting as delegates), 12 Disabled Delegates, 82 Standard Bearers and 451 Visitors.
The Aims and Objectives of The Women’s Section
The Women’s Section promotes the Welfare, by charitable means, of men and women who have served and of the widows, children and dependants of those who have served in our Navy, Army, Air Force and Auxiliary Forces, or in the Mercantile Marine afloat in hostile waters, or any member of Voluntary Aid Societies.
