First senior a-grade of the season
Earlier this month I was in Orleans, France for the first Senior A-grade of the season. Unfortunately it didn’t exactly go as planned. I won my first fight 5-3 against Berder (France) which was a good win for me. This was followed by a couple of narrow 5-4 losses to Galiakbarova (Russia) and Hamada (Japan). The rest of the poule didn’t go as well and I lost the rest of my fights 5-3, 5-1, 5-0. This meant that I was cut and didn’t make it through to the knockout stages.
I can however take some positives from the competition, particularly as Berder, who I’d beaten earlier in the competition, went on to finish 2nd. So I’m back into training in preparation for the London World Cup, which is being held this weekend, where I hope to improve on my result in France.
