Over 85 years of Care and Support

The Women's Section of The Royal British Legion has been providing care and support to the ex-Service community for nearly 90 years. In the United Kingdom  alone, it is estimated that 11 million people are eligible for support from the Legion, including ex-Service men and women, families and dependents - people of all ages and backgrounds with varying needs.

Through its Welfare Programme The Women's Section works to improve the quality of life for excluded people and their families, to help an increasing number of people live independently and help people develop skills to find suitable employment.

HRH The Princess Royal said.....

 "It's not just what you can do in terms of fundraising as an organisation but it's the fun you have as branches and clubs together, doing things together and the advantages that gives your members who can benefit from your general knowledge and your understanding of each other's environments and the sort of lives you're leading, that's an important part of the Women's Section of the Royal British Legion."
