Membership
The Royal British Legion Women's Section has been providing care and support to the ex-Service community for 90 years. The Women's Section is made up of a countrywide network of 966 branches with a membership of 43,000 women.
Who can join?
- Membership is open to all women over 16 years of age including:
- Women in HM Forces
- Ex-Servicewomen
- The women dependants of past and present Servicemen and women
- Women who do not have a Service connection but support the aims of our organisation
The benefits of joining
- Belonging to a friendly network of women in your local community
- Enjoying a range of activities throughout the year including social events, workshops, seminars, fundraising events and visits to places of interest
- Being able to take part in fundraising events, including the November Poppy Appeal
- The opportunity to train and qualify as a Standard Bearer
- The opportunity to learn and use administrative and organising skills that give many members the chance if they wish to run branch and County committees, County conferences or to serve on committees at national level
- And, most important of all, the knowledge that through your membership you are helping others in need
Joining Pall Mall (National Holding) you will have the right as a member to then join a local club at a small club fee (payable directly at the club), you would not need to attend any meetings but you will get the opportunity to apply for tickets to the Festival of Remembrance. You would receive a quarterly magazine to keep you up to date with the work of the Women's Section, your membership card and your member's badge.
National Holding branch is ideal if you would like to support the Women's Section work but don't have the time to spare to attend meetings.
The cost of membership subscription for 2011/12
- Pall Mall Membership - £9.00 p.a Payable by Cheque, Postal Order or Standing Order
- Overseas Membership - £11.00 p.a Payable by Cheque, Postal Order or Standing Order
- County or local branch membership - £5.20p.a with a small variable administration charge on top. There may also be an additional charge to join the local club, but this is optional. Please contact your local branch or county office for confirmation.
Please note that the Women's Section is unable to offer payments by Direct Debit or take card payments over the phone.

Please pay for Pall Mall Membership by cheque or postal order. Cheques should be made payable to The Royal British Legion Women's Section. If you wish to pay by standing order please call the number below.
Payment for branch or county membership should be made directly at the branch or county you join.
