RAF Leeming visit
As you may remember last year North Yorkshire branches organised to send shoe box parcels to 34 Squadron from the RAF Leeming, when they were in Afghanistan. The squadron are due to return there in October, for a further 7 months. A few of the members who were involved with the parcels were invited to visit their base, they had a very interesting day and were shown in and around different vehicles and a selection of guns including weapons and land mines belonging to the enemy. This photo was taken during their visit, from left to right are: Caroline Farrington, County Treasurer, Jean Wilson, Helmsley Branch Committee member and Janet Snowdon, County Secretary.
